Progression and creativity are keywords regarding James Plotkin’s oeuvre. Beginning with the relentless, ever evolving and hallucinating music of OLD, through his many solo records and collaborations, to the surreal heavy-weight sound of Khanate, he’s always been bound to be personal. And quality stuff. Proof of quality are these instrumental demos of his landmark album of experimental music “Joy of Disease”. Electronic dark psychedelic music to listen carefully at night, these are not half-baked demos. They have been considered worth sharing by master self-editor Plotkin, and it’s such an honour to release them. "The Joy of Disease: Demos and Remixes" showcases the initial recordings in preparation for the cult-favorite Joy of Disease album, released in 1995 on John Zorn's Japanese Avant label. These early home-recorded instrumental versions are supplemented by unreleased remixes from Plotkin and co-producer Mick Harris of Napalm Death/Scorn fame. On behalf of re:discovery records, it is with great excitement that we announce the Adham Shaikh compilation titled 'Early Works 92-94'.Adham Shaikh is a treasured ambient, dub and keyboardist artist out of Vancouver Canada who's early to mid-90's tracks found their way to seminal labels like Instinct, Dossier, Interchill and his own label Modulation Elektronik.This collection represents a choice selection of key early works that begins with 'Ascend', whose spacey dub atmosphere is one of the 1990's hidden ambient dub gems. 'Vapor' complete's the a-side with its other-wordly trip into organic and spatial dub ambience. The b-side features the 16+ minute magnificent ethereal odyssey 'Windgate 11:11', that has been a fan favourite for over 25 years now. The 22-minute peak track named 'Oberon (Greymatter) that spreads across the C side was taken from his debut EP 'Realignment' of his Modulation Elektronik label in 1993. Perhaps the most proto-techno track on here, it is prime example of the freeform expression of the time in ambient dub. The last track featured here is one that shares the same title; Adham Shaikh's most revered and most beloved album 'Journey to the Sun'.

EN Records is back with a special two track EP from up and coming Copenhagen based producer Fruit. Originally from Iceland, but based in Denmark, Fruit has been making waves in the Copenhagen club scene with his eloquent DJ and live-sets. Following up his acclaimed 2019 Drømmeland EP for Coastal Haze he is finally back with two epic, fast-paced and euphoric tracks to light up the summer dance floors.Drawing inspiration from myths and legends and particularly the Epic of Gilgamesh – a 4000 year old poem from ancient Mesopotamia – “Gilgamesh” is a hypnotic and trancey trip destined for the peak hours of the post-corona parties.Created during the peak of the pandemic on an old half broken borrowed MacBook, the two distinct but kindred tracks are testament to Fruits unique production style, effortlessly navigating between euphoric fast-paced house, ambient soundscapes, hypnotic percussion and haunting atmospheres. Skillfully crafted and executed “Gilgamesh” is primed for both floor and mind.

Guided by anti-conformist synth-sounds, « Les Charismatiques » embarks on the path towards the gilded light of remission and spiritual rebirth !New collaborations have also emerged on this album from long-lasting friendships but also impromptu meetings, with HAJJ firstly, the Dawn Records’ boss who needs no introduction, but also with their Lyon friend Amélie Arcuri alias Bigoudi, half of Schmilblick ; or more surprising, with the cult underground figure of Robert Lapassenkoff, crooner and singer from the 80s band of the same name who’s been recently re-issued on vinyle before joining the Pilotwings on tour.5 years later the Pilotwings are back on BFDM with an album that seems ripe for tasting, like a fine wine with a mouthful of flavors."
